Seminole Bee Farms was born in 1970 when my father discovered his passion for bees. As our family grew and the years went by, what began as a simple hobby became much deeper. We always had a hive around the house, as if the bees were part of our family. One day my father had a serious stroke and unfortunately had to give up beekeeping and ended up giving his bees away to a friend.
A few years later, a swarm of bees decided to settle in our home near our garage, almost as a natural reminder to keep bees in the family. Having no prior experience messing with the bees myself, I decided to capture it with the advice I followed from my father, which instantly sparked my passion for bees. My father was thrilled that I found interest in the bees, so he bought me a couple more hives, and soon we started harvesting our own pure raw honey together. The joy that my father had seeing me follow his dreams fueled my passion even more. In honor of the city where we grew up, we named it Seminole Bee Farms. My nephew, full of enthusiasm, began selling our honey from a small table in front of the house, and that’s how our adventure began.
In 2022, I met Alejandra, my girlfriend, who would become a key part of all of this. On our second date, feeling a bit nervous, I took her to see the hives. I was anxious about how she would react, unsure if she’d enjoy this special world. But to my surprise, she fell in love with beekeeping in that very moment. She was the one who encouraged me to dream bigger, to improve our brand, and to share the beauty of beekeeping with the world through social media. Alejandra didn’t just join my life, she joined my dream.
At the end of 2022, grief knocked on our door when my father passed away. His departure shattered me. He and I had a unique bond, sharing every little moment, every joy, every sorrow. His absence left a void that felt impossible to fill. But, seeking solace, I returned to the bees. Among them, I found peace. Somehow, I felt my father’s presence, in every buzz, in every hive.
Alejandra, with her heart full of hope and vision, saw this project as more than just a hobby. She believed it could be an opportunity to build a life, a way to honor my father’s legacy and live out a shared dream. She worked tirelessly, and before long, she breathed life into our social media. Calls began pouring in, and with each step we took together, we learned, we created, and we grew stronger. We met wonderful people who helped us along the way, and today, Seminole Bee Farms is more than a brand; it’s the result of unity, perseverance, and love.
We are a family that deeply loves bees. One day, we decided to go all in and leave our professional careers behind, and today, we are fortunate to have followed that path. The bees have given us more than we could have ever imagined, and what began with my father’s dream is now our legacy.
At Seminole Bee Farms, we honor a family legacy that began in 1970 with a father’s passion for bees. Our mission is to protect and conserve pollinators through sustainability, education, and responsible bee removals, rescuing and relocating colonies to give them a second chance. We strive to change the perception of bees in our community, advocating for their vital role in the environment and working to prevent their extermination. All of this care and commitment is poured into every jar of our pure, raw, unfiltered honey, bringing real, high-quality honey into homes while staying true to nature and the legacy that inspires us.
We envision a world where bees are not feared or destroyed, but protected, valued, and understood for their essential role in sustaining life. We aim to become a leader in pollinator conservation, environmental education, and ethical beekeeping. Our goal is to inspire others to live in harmony with bees and to support a sweeter, more sustainable future. Every jar of our honey is a symbol of that dream, a reminder that protecting nature starts at home.
